MQM to take part in next polls throughout Pakistan: Altaf
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Quaid Altaf Hussain has said the candidates of MQM-backed Haq Parast Group would participate in the next general election from across the country. He expressed these views while addressing the annual programme of the Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation (KKF) from London on Sunday by phone. Altaf said that after coming to power, the MQM would eliminate inflation and overcome the shortage of sugar and flour, adding that the party would give loans on easy terms and conditions to the youth through the Micro Finance Bank. He said the aim of politics of the MQM was to serve the people irrespective of their caste, creed, colour or faith. He called for the MQM activists to play their role in sharing the pleasure of Eid with the people. Altaf said that after the Eid, the circle of activities of the KKF would be expanded up to the Punjab, Balochistan, NWFP and interior Sindh.The MQM Quaid said the KKF provided full support to the affectees of natural calamities, terrorism and disasters like earthquake and flood. He said the Medical Aid Committee established free medical camps under the KKF across the country whenever there was a need.The MQM chief discussed the other rescue and relief activities conducted by the KKF at different times. He said the development projects executed by the Haq Parast representatives in Karachi, Hyderabad and other cities in Sindh were practical examples of public service of the MQM.He said not only the activists and supporters of his party were getting benefits of these projects, but all people were utilising these. MQM Rabita Committee Deputy Convener Dr Farooq Sattar and members of the Rabita Committee, including Shoaib Bukhari and Waseem Aftab, also spoke on the occasion.
