CCP begins probe against sugar mills

KARACHI: Competitive Commission of Pakistan (CCP) kicked off investigations against sugar mills, Geo News reported Saturday.

According to sources, the CCP aims to find out from these investigations how sugar mills owners determine the sugar price and that how far the sugar cost told by them is correct.

Furthermore, the commission will take stock of how the statistics regarding sugar reserves and produce are elicited.

Besides, the commission will review the sugar stocks in various areas of Sindh and Punjab.
